The Swim London Card is offered by GLL allowing you access to use over 40 GLL operated
pools during public sessions on an unlimited basis across
Londonfor a monthly fee of £26
per month. The membership
card also gives you up to 30% discount on all other activities within your chosen
home borough.
This
document specifies the terms and conditions of the Swim London Membership Card.

Terms & Conditions
The Member is advised to read
the whole of this agreement carefully. This agreement is made between GLL (Greenwich
Leisure Limited) and you (The Member).
1. You, Your Health and Your Safety
1.1
The Member accepts and fully understands the
Swim Safely rules must be adhered to at all times
when using any GLL pool.
1.2 It is the responsibility
of the Member for ensuring that he or she is in suitably good health such as to
avoid any undue risk to himself or herself by participating in physical activity.
It is advised before starting any course of physical activity that you consult your
general practitioner should you feel you need to.
2. Our Centre Conditions
2.1
Members are required to adhere to the centre rules
and regulations on display at each centre.
2.2
Admission will not be granted unless a valid Membership
Card is presented clearly to the receptionist or validated by the computer system
at the kiosk each time you use the facility.
2.3
Membership Cards will not be valid until the Member
has their photograph taken and printed on their card by a customer service advisor.
2.4
In the event of losing your membership card, please
contact the Web Support Centre at
esupport@gll.org as soon as possible.
A replacement card will be issued and a small administration charge will be made.
2.5
Your Membership Card is non transferable. You
must not allow anyone else to use your card or Membership number. Cards being used
by any other person other than the authorised Member will result in that membership
being cancelled and no refund of the registration fee or subscriptions made.
2.6
Admission is subject to the facility operating
at a safe capacity. The decision of the Centre Manger or their nominated person
is final.
2.7
Centre programming and access is subject to change
and availability from time to time.
2.8
Membership products and prices maybe subject to
change at the discretion of GLL.
2.9
Members are required to change into clean swimming
costumes or trunks, cut off jeans are not permitted. Exceptions to this are only
for religious or medical reasons.
2.10
Members are asked to respect personal hygiene at all
times within the centre and to shower before entering any pool.
2.11
Lockers located near the swimming pools are for the use
of customers using the wet facilities. Members using other facilities are respectfully
asked to use other centre lockers. You must not take locker keys off of the premises.
All lockers will be emptied each night and items found placed in lost property.
2.12
Non members, guests or friends must be referred to the
customer service advisor on arrival. No spectators are allowed into activity areas.
3. Payment conditions
3.1
Customers joining on an online prepaid membership
option must pay monthly by direct debit. Failure to make any due payment will result
in the membership being suspended. Access will be denied until outstanding payment
has been made. Any further out-standing account arrears will be payable before reinstatement
of any membership scheme run by GLL. GLL retain the right to recover all outstanding
balances.
3.2
Monthly direct debits are a full binding contract
between GLL and (the Member) and will automatically continue until GLL are notified
otherwise in writing.
3.3
All centre and membership prices are reviewed
from time to time. If your membership subscription price is changed GLL will notify
you at least 14 days in advance by email.
3.4
Members are required to pay for all activities
outside of their membership option and must have a valid ticket for use.
3.5
Membership joining fees are non refundable.
3.6
In the event of a membership subscription expiring
or due payments not being made new joining fees will be charged, where applicable.
4. Change of membership status
4.1
All online member issues are managed by the Web
Support Centre and correspondence should be emailed to the Web Support Centre at
esupport@gll.org.
4.2
Cancellation of prepaid membership must be made
via email to the Web Support Centre at
esupport@gll.org. One month notice is required in order to cancel the membership
4.3
Your monthly subscription covers one month in advance therefore you are entitled
to continue to use the facilities for an additional calendar month after your direct
debit is cancelled.
4.4
Members are also required to cancel their direct
debit instructions (DDI) with their bank to fully complete the cancellation process.
4.5
Direct Debit memberships are non refundable if
the full cancellation process is not completed.
4.6
Any other changes of status to prepaid memberships
must be received no later than 14th of the month via email to the Web Support Centre
at esupport@gll.org.
4.7
Membership suspension will only be considered
if the Member cannot continue participating for medical reasons. This requires a
letter from your Doctor and will only apply from the date of receipt of the letter.
A letter from your Doctor will also be required on your return to fitness. Such
suspension will be at the discretion of the Web Support Centre.
4.8
Should GLL choose to discontinue the Swim London
Membership scheme the Member will be notified in writing one month in advance.
The Management reserve the right
to reject any application or withdraw without refund any Membership in the event
of failure to comply with Membership Conditions and Centre Regulations.
GLL shall not be liable for any loss,
damage of theft of personal property belonging to the Member, (or any guest of the
Member,) occurring upon the premises, except to the extent that such loss, damage
or theft of personal property arises from any negligent act or omission of GLL.
GLL Leisure Centres shall not be responsible for the death or injury of the Member,
[or any guest of the Member,] occurring upon the premises or as a result of the
use of the facilities and/or equipment provided in the premises, except to the extent
that such death or personal injury arises from any negligent act or omission of
GLL Leisure Centres.
For the purpose of this clause GLL
includes Leisure Centres or any premises operated by it, Health and Fitness specialist
instructors or other employees, servants or agents (including any independent contractors
from time to time employed by it) and Premises means any premises operated by the
company.
The Member has read this agreement
in its entirety, understands the contents of it completely, has taken all such independent
advice on it as he/she wishes and accepts all the terms and conditions contained
on it.
